देवनागरी
वासुदेवेन तीर्थेन तात गच्छस्व संगमम् ॥
कालप्राप्तम् इदं मन्ये मा त्वं दुर्योधनातिगाः ॥
शमं चेद् याचमानं त्वं प्रत्याख्यास्यसि केशवम् ॥
त्वदर्थम् अभिजल्पन्तं न तवास्त्य् अपराभवः ॥

In this chapter, the elders of the Kurus, one after another, affirm Krishna's words: peace with the Pandavas is not weakness but the only way to preserve the family, the parents, the subjects, and the royal glory. Duryodhana is warned not with abstract phrases but through the concrete consequences of his choice: the death of his kin, the loss of the kingdom, and remorse to come.
