अनुवाद

Seeing this arrayed army, Savyasachin, the destroyer of foes, together with Dhrishtadyumna, arrayed against it the crescent-moon formation for battle. On the right horn of the crescent shone Bhimasena, surrounded by kings of various lands equipped with abundant weapons. Directly behind him stood Virata and the great chariot-warrior Drupada; immediately behind them stood Nila with his own troops. Behind Nila stood the great chariot-warrior Dhrishtaketu, surrounded by the Chedis, Kashis, Karushas and Pauravas. Dhrishtadyumna, Shikhandin, the Panchalas and Prabhadrakas stood in the center of the great army, ready for battle, O Bharata. There too was Dharmaraja, shielded by the elephant division; then Satyaki, the five sons of Draupadi, swift Abhimanyu, further on Iravan, then the son of Bhima, and the great chariot-warriors the Kekayas, O king. Then the best of men, protector of the whole world, whose own protector was Janardana, took up the left side. Thus did the Pandavas array this great formation for the destruction of your sons and those who had joined their side.
