अनुवाद

"Neither men nor the great and fortunate sages of old have ever witnessed such an undertaking on this earth, Sanjaya. If such a flood of an army, furnished with an abundance of weapons and astras, is destroyed in battle, what else can it be but fate? All this seems reversed to me, Sanjaya: such a terrible force could not overcome the Pandavas in battle. Or perhaps the gods gathered there for the sake of the Pandavas and fight against my army, since it is being destroyed, Sanjaya. For Vidura spoke here what was beneficial and wholesome, Sanjaya, but my foolish son Duryodhana does not accept it. I think that the mind of that all-knowing, great-souled one had, from the very beginning, already accorded with what came to pass, my son, for he had foreseen this long before. Or else, Sanjaya, it had in every way to be so: as the Creator ordained it of old, so it is, and not otherwise."
