The jubilation begins, and it will run four lines; in them the word dhanyo 'ham, "blessed am I," will be repeated fourteen times. Note the change of meter. Everything up to now was written in śloka; but here the meter is different, longer and freer — this is how one writes not argument, but song.
This change is not accidental. The arguing has ended, the rejoicing has begun; and the book, which for so many lines said "I do not act, I do not desire, I have no need," suddenly speaks of what is. Note also the word añjasā, "directly, immediately, without evasion." It means "straight": I know not by inference and not by another's word, but directly.
The Vaiṣṇava reading welcomes this change of tone and finds it the most reliable passage in the book. Negations can be repeated from memory; one cannot rejoice from memory. And the very word dhanya, "blessed, fortunate, lucky," is the word of a person to whom something good has happened — and good fortune always comes from someone.
