त्वयि त्व् अरोगे निर्मुक्ते माता भ्राता च मे शिशुः ॥
संतानश् चैव पिण्डश् च प्रतिष्ठास्यत्य् असंशयम् ॥
आत्मा पुत्रः सखा भार्या कृच्छ्रं तु दुहिता किल ॥
स कृच्छ्रान् मोचयात्मानं मां च धर्मेण योजय ॥
tvayi tv aroge nirmukte mātā bhrātā ca me śiśuḥ ||
saṃtānaś caiva piṇḍaś ca pratiṣṭhāsyaty asaṃśayam ||
ātmā putraḥ sakhā bhāryā kṛcchraṃ tu duhitā kila ||
sa kṛcchrān mocayātmānaṃ māṃ ca dharmeṇa yojaya ||
"But if you, being healthy, are freed [from danger], then mother, and my brother — an infant, and the continuation of the lineage, and the pinda will be secured, without doubt. 'One's own self is one's son, friend, wife; but a daughter is only a burden,' so it is said; so free yourself from this burden, and join me to dharma."
