译文

Having conquered them by kindness, the descendant of Kuru beheld Manasa — the best of lakes — and all those streams of the sages. Having reached Lake Manasa, the lord conquered thereupon, near the Hatakas, the land guarded by the Gandharvas. There, from the city of the Gandharvas, he received as the most abundant tribute excellent horses dappled like partridges, with frog-like eyes.
