译文

Markandeya said: "I do not rejoice, nor do I smile at you. Seeing your calamity, I recall Rama, son of Dasharatha, true to his vow. Invincible and equal to Indra, he lived in the forest with Lakshmana at his father's word, and did not consider strength a right to break dharma. In the same way Nabhaga, Bhagiratha, Alarka, and the ancient seers conquered the worlds by truth, not by the willfulness of strength. Even mighty elephants and all beings stand in the order established by the Creator. Therefore one should not commit adharma thinking that strength grants power. You have surpassed all by truth, dharma, right conduct, and modesty; having kept your vow and endured hard years in the forest, you shall by your own strength win back the shining royal fortune from the Kauravas."
