译文

O king of kings, O descendant of Bharata, O delight of the Kuru race, you shall regain your kingdom just as Indra regained his after slaying Vritra. The wicked Nahusha, the evil enemy of the brahmins, was cast down by the curse of Agastya and reduced to nothing for endless years. In the same way, O slayer of enemies, your foes -- Karna, Duryodhana, and the other wicked souls -- shall soon be destroyed. Then, O hero, you shall enjoy this whole earth, bounded by the sea, together with your brothers and this Draupadi. This tale of Indra's victory, equal to the Veda in its sacred character, ought to be heard by a king who desires victory and has drawn up his troops in battle array. Therefore, O best of the victorious, I recite it to you for the sake of your victory, O Yudhishthira.
