क्षत्रियेण हि हन्तव्यः क्षत्रियो लोभम् आस्थितः ॥
अक्षत्रियो वा दाशार्ह स्वधर्मम् अनुतिष्ठता ॥
अन्यत्र ब्राह्मणात् तात सर्वपापेष्व् अवस्थितात् ॥
गुरुर् हि सर्ववर्णानां ब्राह्मणः प्रसृताग्रभुक् ॥
यथावध्ये भवेद् दोषो वध्यमाने जनार्दन ॥
स वध्यस्यावधे दृष्ट इति धर्मविदो विदुः ॥
यथा त्वां न स्पृशेद् एष दोषः कृष्ण तथा कुरु ॥
पाण्डवैः सह दाशार्ह सृञ्जयैश् च ससैनिकैः ॥
पुनर् उक्तं च वक्ष्यामि विश्रम्भेण जनार्दन ॥
का नु सीमन्तिनी मादृक् पृथिव्याम् अस्ति केशव ॥

pāṇḍavaiḥ saha dāśārha sṛñjayaiś ca sasainikaiḥ ||
punar uktaṃ ca vakṣyāmi viśrambheṇa janārdana ||
kā nu sīmantinī mādṛk pṛthivyām asti keśava ||
O scion of the Vrishni race, while we wandered in the forest, our attachment to the kingdom was not as strong as it is now. When the period of our exile had ended and it was heard, O hero, that we had returned, by your grace, O Janardana, an army numbering fully seven Akshauhinis was assembled.
