译文

Vaishampayana said: 'Having heard the words of Jamadagni, the renowned sage Kanva likewise spoke these words to Duryodhana in that assembly of the Kurus.' Kanva said: 'Brahma, the Progenitor of the universe, is imperishable and eternal. These illustrious sages, Nara and Narayana, share the same nature. Of all the sons of Aditi, only Vishnu is eternal. He alone is invincible and indestructible, existing forever, the Lord of all and possessor of divine qualities. All others -- the sun and moon, the earth and water, wind, fire, and the vault of heaven, the planets and the stars -- are subject to destruction.'
