Then the kings of the earth, warriors mounted on elephants and chariots, with chariots resembling clouds, with elephants and led horses, rushed forth with weapons raised. Then all these guardians of the earth, O lord of the peoples, surrounded me on every side with a vast host of chariots. I repelled them with a great shower of arrows and conquered all the kings, as the king of the gods conquers the Danavas. As they charged at me, I felled with a single arrow, one after another, their variegated banners adorned with gold. Their horses, their elephants, and their charioteers I struck down in battle with blazing arrows, laughing, O best of men.
