译文

Sanjaya said: "In a moment, O great king, there arose a terrible noise that shook the heart: it was the warriors longing for battle. From the din of conches and dundubhis, from the trumpeting of elephants and the rumble of chariot wheels, the earth seemed to split apart. The neighing of horses and the cries of warriors filled the sky and all quarters in an instant. When the armies of your sons and of the Pandavas came together, O formidable one, they trembled."
