译文

"They think: 'Today I have gained this, and now I shall attain that desire; this I have, and still more wealth will come to me. This enemy I have slain, and I will slay others too. I am the lord, I am the enjoyer, I am accomplished, powerful, and happy. I am wealthy and of noble birth; who is equal to me? I will perform sacrifice, I will give in charity, and I will rejoice.' Thus deluded by ignorance, distracted by many thoughts, enveloped in the net of delusion, and attached to sensual enjoyments, they fall into a foul hell. Self-conceited, obstinate, filled with wealth, pride, and arrogance, they perform sacrifices in name only — out of hypocrisy and contrary to prescribed rule. Given over to egoism, force, pride, desire, and anger, they hate Me, who dwell within their own bodies and the bodies of others, and they are filled with envy."
