译文
Then the son of Ruchiparvan swiftly charged at him, showering him with a rain of arrows while standing on his chariot, resembling Death itself. But Suparvan, the lord of the mountains, with a well-fashioned arrow, sent Ruchiraparvan to the hall of Yama.

The young warrior charges "resembling Death itself" -- and at once departs to the abode of Death himself. The fearsome appearance of the attacker is deceptive: he who seemed to bring destruction is the first to perish. In this swift turn lies the bitter irony of war, where striker and stricken exchange places in a single instant. It is telling that the narrative calls the charging warrior "like Death" just before his own death. The verse teaches that a fearsome look and a furious onslaught do not decide the outcome -- one who imagines himself an instrument of fate may himself fall victim; that in battle no one is safe, and the role of striker can turn in an instant into the role of the slain; and that the appearance of strength is deceptive, for behind a terrifying charge may lie one whose own hour has already struck.
