एवम् उक्तास् तु ते राज्ञा सात्वतीपुत्रम् अभ्ययुः ॥
संरब्धास् तं जिघांसन्तो भारद्वाजस्य पश्यतः ॥
दुःशासनस् तु तच् छ्रुत्वा दुर्योधनवचस् तदा ॥
अब्रवीत् कुरुशार्दूलो दुर्योधनम् इदं वचः ॥
अहम् एनं हनिष्यामि महाराज ब्रवीमि ते ॥
मिषतां पाण्डुपुत्राणां पाञ्चालानां च पश्यताम् ॥
ग्रसिष्याम्य् अद्य सौभद्रं यथा राहुर् दिवाकरम् ॥

译文

Thus addressed by the king, they, inflamed and bent on slaying him, advanced upon the son of Satvati before the eyes of Drona. Then Duhshasana, having heard Duryodhana's words — that tiger among the Kurus — spoke these words to Duryodhana: "I will kill him, O great sovereign, I say to you — before the eyes of the Pandavas and Panchalas looking on."
