अव्याधिजं कटुकं शीर्षरोगं; पापानुबन्धं परुषं तीक्ष्णम् उग्रम् ॥
सतां पेयं यन् न पिबन्त्य् असन्तो; मन्युं महाराज पिब प्रशाम्य ॥
रोगार्दिता न फलान्य् आद्रियन्ते; न वै लभन्ते विषयेषु तत्त्वम् ॥
दुःखोपेता रोगिणो नित्यम् एव; न बुध्यन्ते धनभोगान् न सौख्यम् ॥
पुरा ह्य् उक्तो नाकरोस् त्वं वचो मे; द्यूते जितां द्रौपदीं प्रेक्ष्य राजन् ॥
दुर्योधनं वारयेत्य् अक्षवत्यां; कितवत्वं पण्डिता वर्जयन्ति ॥
न तद् बलं यन् मृदुना विरुध्यते; मिश्रो धर्मस् तरसा सेवितव्यः ॥
प्रध्वंसिनी क्रूरसमाहिता श्रीर्; मृदुप्रौढा गच्छति पुत्रपौत्रान् ॥
धार्तराष्ट्राः पाण्डवान् पालयन्तु; पाण्डोः सुतास् तव पुत्रांश् च पान्तु ॥
एकारिमित्राः कुरवो ह्य् एकमन्त्रा; जीवन्तु राजन् सुखिनः समृद्धाः ॥
avyādhijaṃ kaṭukaṃ śīrṣarogaṃ; pāpānubandhaṃ paruṣaṃ tīkṣṇam ugram ||
satāṃ peyaṃ yan na pibanty asanto; manyuṃ mahārāja piba praśāmya ||
rogārditā na phalāny ādriyante; na vai labhante viṣayeṣu tattvam ||
duḥkhopetā rogiṇo nityam eva; na budhyante dhanabhogān na saukhyam ||

duryodhanaṃ vārayety akṣavatyāṃ; kitavatvaṃ paṇḍitā varjayanti ||
na tad balaṃ yan mṛdunā virudhyate; miśro dharmas tarasā sevitavyaḥ ||
pradhvaṃsinī krūrasamāhitā śrīr; mṛduprauḍhā gacchati putrapautrān ||
dhārtarāṣṭrāḥ pāṇḍavān pālayantu; pāṇḍoḥ sutās tava putrāṃś ca pāntu ||
ekārimitrāḥ kuravo hy ekamantrā; jīvantu rājan sukhinaḥ samṛddhāḥ ||
So let your sons cherish the Pandavas, and let the Pandavas likewise care for your sons. O king, let the Kurus and Pandavas, sharing the same friends and the same enemies, live together in happiness and prosperity. Today, O king, you are the refuge of the sons of Kuru. Indeed, the line of Kuru, O Ajamida, depends upon you. O sovereign, keeping your fame unblemished, cherish the sons of Pandu, who suffer the hardships of exile. O descendant of Kuru, be reconciled with the sons of Pandu. Do not let your enemies discover your weak points. All of them, O god among men, are devoted to truth. O lord of men, turn Duryodhana away from his wicked ways.'
