चिरस्य दृष्ट्वा दाशार्हं राजानः सर्वपार्थिवाः ॥

व्यभ्राजत सभामध्ये हेम्नीवोपहितो मणिः ॥
ततस् तूष्णीं सर्वम् आसीद् गोविन्दगतमानसम् ॥
न तत्र कश् चित् किं चिद् धि व्याजहार पुमान् क्व चित् ॥
cirasya dṛṣṭvā dāśārhaṃ rājānaḥ sarvapārthivāḥ ||
amṛtasyeva nātṛpyan prekṣamāṇā janārdanam ||
atasīpuṣpasaṃkāśaḥ pītavāsā janārdanaḥ ||
vyabhrājata sabhāmadhye hemnīvopahito maṇiḥ ||
tatas tūṣṇīṃ sarvam āsīd govindagatamānasam ||
na tatra kaś cit kiṃ cid dhi vyājahāra pumān kva cit ||
O Madhava, the love I bear you equals the love I bear the sons of Pandu. Therefore I speak these words to you out of my affection, respect, and friendship for you. What need is there to express the joy I felt at the sight of your person, for you, O lotus-eyed one, are the inner Soul of all embodied beings.
