ततस् ते सुमुखं गृह्य सर्व एव महौजसः ॥
ददृशुः शक्रम् आसीनं देवराजं महाद्युतिम् ॥
संगत्या तत्र भगवान् विष्णुर् आसीच् चतुर्भुजः ॥
ततस् तत् सर्वम् आचख्यौ नारदो मातलिं प्रति ॥
ततः पुरंदरं विष्णुर् उवाच भुवनेश्वरम् ॥
अमृतं दीयताम् अस्मै क्रियताम् अमरैः समः ॥
मातलिर् नारदश् चैव सुमुखश् चैव वासव ॥
लभन्तां भवतः कामात् कामम् एतं यथेप्सितम् ॥
पुरंदरो ऽथ संचिन्त्य वैनतेयपराक्रमम् ॥
विष्णुम् एवाब्रवीद् एनं भवान् एव ददात्व् इति ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

tatas te sumukhaṃ gṛhya sarva eva mahaujasaḥ ||
dadṛśuḥ śakram āsīnaṃ devarājaṃ mahādyutim ||
saṃgatyā tatra bhagavān viṣṇur āsīc caturbhujaḥ ||
tatas tat sarvam ācakhyau nārado mātaliṃ prati ||
tataḥ puraṃdaraṃ viṣṇur uvāca bhuvaneśvaram ||
amṛtaṃ dīyatām asmai kriyatām amaraiḥ samaḥ ||
mātalir nāradaś caiva sumukhaś caiva vāsava ||
labhantāṃ bhavataḥ kāmāt kāmam etaṃ yathepsitam ||
puraṃdaro 'tha saṃcintya vainateyaparākramam ||
viṣṇum evābravīd enaṃ bhavān eva dadātv iti ||

Translation

Those waters, O Matali, which yielded these treasures, were mingled with the milk of these four cows. As for Surabhi, the milk she gives becomes Svaha for those who live on Svadha, Svadha for those who live on Svadha, and Amrita for those who live on Amrita. The verse that the dwellers of Rasatala sang in ancient times can still be heard in the world from the learned. Here is that verse: ‘Neither in the realm of the nagas, nor in Svarga, nor in Vimana, nor in Tripishtapa is there so happy a dwelling as in Rasatala!’
