एतस्मिंस् त्व् अन्यथाभूते नान्यं हिंसितुम् उत्सहे ॥
क्रीडसे कामकारेण देवराज यथेच्छकम् ॥
सो ऽहं प्राणान् विमोक्ष्यामि तथा परिजनो मम ॥
ये च भृत्या मम गृहे प्रीतिमान् भव वासव ॥
एतच् चैवाहम् अर्हामि भूयश् च बलवृत्रहन् ॥
त्रैलोक्यस्येश्वरो यो ऽहं परभृत्यत्वम् आगतः ॥
त्वयि तिष्ठति देवेश न विष्णुः कारणं मम ॥
त्रैलोक्यराज राज्यं हि त्वयि वासव शाश्वतम् ॥
ममापि दक्षस्य सुता जननी कश्यपः पिता ॥
अहम् अप्य् उत्सहे लोकान् समस्तान् वोढुम् अञ्जसा ॥
etasmiṃs tv anyathābhūte nānyaṃ hiṃsitum utsahe ||

so 'haṃ prāṇān vimokṣyāmi tathā parijano mama ||
ye ca bhṛtyā mama gṛhe prītimān bhava vāsava ||

trailokyasyeśvaro yo 'haṃ parabhṛtyatvam āgataḥ ||
tvayi tiṣṭhati deveśa na viṣṇuḥ kāraṇaṃ mama ||
trailokyarāja rājyaṃ hi tvayi vāsava śāśvatam ||
mamāpi dakṣasya sutā jananī kaśyapaḥ pitā ||
aham apy utsahe lokān samastān voḍhum añjasā ||
He has a thousand heads. His tongues blaze like flames of fire, and he is endowed with great strength. There, countless Nagas - the sons of Surasa - dwell happily, possessed of manifold forms and adorned with manifold ornaments, bearing the marks of jewels, svastikas, circles, and drinking vessels. All of them, endowed with immense strength, are fierce by nature. Some have a thousand heads, some five hundred, some three.
