Translation

'From lack of means we shall perish, banished from the kingdom, deprived of every relish of desire, cast down from our place and possessing nothing. O Sanjaya, under the name of son I bore you — a discord that disgraces the good and destroys the family line. Let no woman ever bear such a son: devoid of indignation, zeal, and strength, gladdening the enemies. Do not smolder — blaze to the utmost; advance and strike down the enemies. Blaze over the heads of your foes, even if only for a moment or an instant. A man is a man only when he feels indignation and cannot bear insult; one who is forbearing and devoid of indignation is neither woman nor man.'
