क्षत्रर्मं पुस्कृत्य तः शूरः तां तिम्
यां यं प्राप्नुयामे ये चान्ये स्त्रजीविनः
व्यूढोस्को हाबाहुर् निर्ती प्रणुत्
तस् रारोहे पुत्रः स्वर्गं ज्वरं हि

kṣatradharmaṃ puraskṛtya gataḥ śūraḥ satāṃ gatim ||
yāṃ vayaṃ prāpnumeha ye nye śastravinaḥ ||
vyūḍhorasko mahur anivartī varapraṇut ||
gatas tava varohe putraḥ svargaṃ jvaraṃ jahi ||

ज्वरम् जहिjvaram jahicast off [your] fever [grief]; cast off the fever of grief
Translation

"Holding the kshatriya duty foremost, the brave one has ascended to the estate of the righteous — the goal which we ourselves would attain here, and others who live by the sword. Broad-chested, mighty-armed, unyielding, vanquisher of the finest [foes] — your son, O fair one, has gone to heaven; cast off the fever of grief."
