धर्मपुत्रः कथं राजा भविष्यति मृते ऽर्जुने ॥
तस्मिन् हि विजयः कृत्स्नः पाण्डवेन समाहितः ॥
यदि नः सुकृतं किं चिद् यदि दत्तं हुतं यदि ॥
फलेन तस्य सर्वस्य सव्यसाची जयत्व् अरीन् ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

dharmaputraḥ kathaṃ rājā bhaviṣyati mṛte 'rjune ||
tasmin hi vijayaḥ kṛtsnaḥ pāṇḍavena samāhitaḥ ||
yadi naḥ sukṛtaṃ kiṃ cid yadi dattaṃ hutaṃ yadi ||
phalena tasya sarvasya savyasācī jayatv arīn ||

Translation

"How will Dharmaputra become king, if Arjuna dies? For upon him all the victory of the Pandavas is concentrated. If we have any merit, if we have given gifts and poured offerings — by the fruit of all that, may Savyasachin conquer the enemies!"
