युधिष्ठिर उवाच
सुखे नी व्युष्टा च्चित् ते धुसू
च्चिज् ज्ञानानि र्वाणि प्रन्नानि वाच्यु
संजय उवाच
वासुदेवो ऽपि तद् युक्तं र्यपृच्छद् युधिष्ठिरम्
तः क्षत्ता प्रकृयो न्यवेयद् स्थिताः

sukhena raja vyuṣṭā kaccit te madhudana ||
kaccij jñāni sarvāṇi prasannāni tacyuta ||
saṃjaya uvāca
sudevo 'pi tad yuktaṃ paryapṛcchad yudhiṣṭhiram ||
tataḥ kṣattā prakṛtayo nyavedayad upasthitāḥ ||

Translation

"Has the night passed happily for you, O Madhusudana? Are all your faculties clear and serene, O Achyuta?" Vasudeva, too, asked Yudhishthira that same fitting question in return. Then the gatekeeper announced the arrival of the assembled nobles.
