सैन्येषु योधानां पार्थभूतम् वावत्
न्योन्यम् पि चाघ्नुर् त्मानम् पि चारे
पार्थभूतम् न्यन्त गत् काले मोहिताः

ayaṃ rthaḥ kutaḥ rtha eṣa rtha iti prabho ||
tava sainyeṣu yodhānāṃ rthabhūtam ibhavat ||
anyonyam api jaghnur ātmānam api pare ||
rthabhūtam amanyanta jagat kālena mohitāḥ ||

Translation

"Here is Partha, whence Partha, this is Partha!" -- so, O lord, among the warriors in your armies everything became as if entirely Partha. And they struck one another, and some even struck themselves, taking the whole world to have become Partha, deluded by Time.
