तेन युद्धम् अहं मन्ये प्राप्तकालं तवानघ ॥
अत्र वो द्यूतम् आयातं विजयायेतराय वा ॥
अत्र क्रोधविषं पार्थ विमुञ्च चिरसंभृतम् ॥
एष मूलम् अनर्थानां पाण्डवानां महारथः ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

tena yuddham ahaṃ manye prāptakālaṃ tavānagha ||
atra vo dyūtam āyātaṃ vijayāyetarāya vā ||
atra krodhaviṣaṃ pārtha vimuñca cirasaṃbhṛtam ||
eṣa mūlam anarthānāṃ pāṇḍavānāṃ mahārathaḥ ||

Translation

"With him I consider battle timely for you, O sinless one; here to you has come the game [of dice, leading] to victory or to something else. Here, Partha, release the poison of wrath, long accumulated; he -- this great warrior -- is the root of the Pandavas' misfortunes."
