तम् भ्यगाद् बृत्क्षत्रः केयानां हाथः
प्रपन् निशितान् बाणान् हेन्द्रानिसंनिभान्
तं तु प्रत्युदियाच् छीघ्रं क्षेधूर्तिर् हाशाः
विमुञ्चन् निशितान् बाणाञ् शो ऽ स्रशः

tam abhyad bṛhatkṣatraḥ kekanāṃ marathaḥ ||
pravapan niśin bāṇān mahendrāśanisaṃnibhān ||
taṃ tu pratyudic chīghraṃ kṣemadhūrtir mayaśāḥ ||
vimuñcan niśin bāṇāñ śataśo 'tha sahasraśaḥ ||

Translation

"Against him advanced Brihatkshatra, the great warrior of the Kekayas, sowing sharp arrows resembling the thunderbolt of great Indra. And swiftly came forth to meet him the greatly renowned Kshemadhurti, releasing sharp arrows by the hundreds and thousands."
