संहाग्राहं र्णन्द्रोयोद्धतम्
ते सैन्यार्णवं भित्त्वा सा पाण्डर्षभे
संयैथेनै युयुधाने माकम्
त्र शेषं श्यामि प्रविष्टे व्यसाचिनि
सात्वते थोदारे सैन्यस्य सं

gate sainyārṇavaṃ bhittvā tara ṇḍavarṣabhe ||
saṃjayaikarathenaiva yuyudhāne ca makam ||
tatra śeṣaṃ na paśyāmi praviṣṭe savyacini ||
tvate ca rathore mama sainyasya saṃjaya ||

Translation

...where Drona is the deep abyss, Kritavarman the great whirlpool, Jalasandha the great crocodile, and Karna swelled it like the rising moon; when, breaking through the ocean of the army, the bull of the Pandavas swiftly passed, Sanjaya, with but a single chariot, and Yuyudhana too — I see no remainder of my army there, once Savyasachin and Satvata, the valiant warrior, had entered, Sanjaya.
