Translation

"Seeing the scattered charioteers, devoid of zeal for conquering the foe, having taken up instead a zeal for flight, I think my dear sons grieve. Seeing the chariot-platforms emptied by Satvata and by Arjuna, and beholding the slain warriors, I think my dear sons grieve. Seeing there heroes by the thousands stripped of horses, elephants, and chariots, running about in battle, bewildered, I think my dear sons grieve. And seeing horses made riderless, and men made chariotless there by Satyaki and by Partha, I think my dear sons grieve."
