थै स्यानिपापुत्रः; संधा बाणैर् रैर् ज्वद्भिः
घ्निवांस् तान् प्रकाशांश्; तुर्भिर् श्वांश् तुरः प्रह्य
था तु तेनाभितस् स्वी; प्ता शिनेर् न्द्रमावीर्यः
सुर्शस्येषुणैः सुतीक्ष्णैर्; यान् नित्याशु ना नादम्

tathaiva tasyāvanilaputraḥ; saṃdhāya ṇair aparair jvaladbhiḥ ||
ājaghnivāṃs tān rajatapraśāṃś; caturbhir aśvāṃś caturaḥ prasahya ||
tathā tu tebhihatas tarasvī; naptā śiner indrasanaryaḥ ||
sudarśanasyeṣugaṇaiḥ sukṣṇair; han nihatyāśu nada dam ||

Translation

Likewise the king's son [Sudarshana], having nocked other blazing arrows, struck those silver-gleaming four horses with four arrows, by force. So too, struck by him, the swift grandson of Shini, equal to Indra in valor, striking down Sudarshana's horses swiftly with swarms of keen arrows, let out a roar.
