ciccheda viśikhais tīkṣṇais tathobhau pārṣṇisārathī ||

Then the great chariot-warrior slew his horses with sharp arrows, and, greatly enraged, his charioteer with smooth-jointed arrows; his bow with a single bhalla arrow, his hand-guard with five, and his banner and chariot-spear with two bhallas -- he, the foremost knower of weapons, cutting likewise both flank-charioteers with sharp barbed arrows. He, his bow severed, chariotless, his horses slain, his charioteer slain, was carried off on his own chariot by the commander of the Trigartas.

Satyaki methodically strips Duhshasana of everything -- horses, charioteer, bow, hand-guard, banner: the wisdom of valor dismantles the enemy's strength piece by piece. The instigator of Draupadi's humiliation is left helpless and carried away. It is notable that the offender is disarmed utterly. The verse teaches that the wrongdoer, at the hour of reckoning, loses his supports one by one: he who boasted of his strength stands exposed in complete helplessness, saved only by another's hand, borne away from the field of his own disgrace.
