सो ऽहम् द्य मिष्यामि त्र ते पुरुर्षभाः
ता र्थं संग्रामे युध्यमानाः किरीटिना
हि मे जीवितेनार्थस् तान् ते पुरुर्षभान्
चार्यः पाण्डुपुत्राणाम् नुजानातु नो वान्

Transliteration (IAST)

so 'ham adya gamiṣyāmi yatra te puruṣarṣabhāḥ ||
ha madarthaṃ saṃgrāme yudhyanāḥ kiṭi ||
na hi me viterthas tān ṛte puruṣarṣabhān ||
āryaḥ ṇḍuputrāṇām anutu no bhavān ||

Translation

'Here I shall now go where those bull-like men lie, slain for my sake in battle, fighting with the Diademed One [Arjuna]. For there is no meaning in life for me without those bull-like men. Teacher of the sons of Pandu, grant us leave to depart.'
