Translation

On the earth of the royal lineages, when great destruction had arisen — not to be seen there were Karna, nor Drona, nor Arjuna, nor Yudhishthira, nor Bhimasena, nor the twins, nor the Panchala prince, nor Satyaki, nor Duhshasana, nor Drauni, nor Duryodhana and Saubala, nor Kripa, nor the king of Madra and Kritavarman, nor others, nor even oneself, nor the earth, nor the directions of space — we saw, O king, all locked together, covered by the army's dust, in the bewildered, tumultuous, dreadful battle, when the cloud of dust had risen.
