Translation
"Of the one-syllable [mantra] of Saubhāgya-Ramā the sage is Bhṛgu, the meter nicṛt-gāyatrī; of Śrī the sage and the rest are the same. 'Śam' is the seed and power; 'śrīm' and the rest are the six limbs."

It is worth noting the name Ramā, standing here beside Lakṣmī. This word is feminine and comes from ram, "to delight, to gladden"; and it means "the delighting one." This is one of Lakṣmī's usual names, and from the same root comes the name Rāmacandra for a man — "delighting like the moon."
Let us add what is worth saying about the root itself, for in Vaiṣṇava teaching it is one of the chief ones. From it also comes rāma, "delight," and ārāma, "garden"; and the word ātma-ārāma, "having a garden within oneself," discussed when reading the Varāha (4.8), is compounded from the same root. That is, Lakṣmī is named by the very word that names the state from which, by the verse of the Bhāgavatam 1.7.10, even the accomplished step out.
Let us add the sage: Bhṛgu. He is not named here by chance: in the Purāṇas Lakṣmī is called Bhārgavī, "daughter of Bhṛgu," for in one birth she appeared in his lineage. This tale is well known in Vaiṣṇava usage and is linked with another, where Bhṛgu struck Viṣṇu's chest with his foot, and He began massaging his foot, asking whether he had hurt himself.
This tale is worth remembering while reading this book: the father of the goddess of abundance struck her husband, and the husband apologized; and Lakṣmī, by that tale, took offense on His behalf and left His chest.
