Traducción

Suta said: 'Borne by Suparna (Garuda), they swiftly arrived in that country, surrounded by the waters of the ocean, resounding with flocks of birds; covered with groves of wondrous fruits and flowers and dotted with lovely mansions and lotus ponds; adorned with clear-watered, many-hued lakes; fanned by holy winds bearing divine fragrances; [a country] adorned with sandalwood trees of Malaya, which, breathing their scent upon the sky, showered flower-rain under the gusts of wind, as if sprinkling the serpents dwelling there with a rain of flowers and fragrant waters. [It was] a sacred place, gladdening the heart, dear to the Gandharvas and Apsarases, delightful, filled with the calls of many birds, rejoicing the sons of Kadru. Having reached that forest, the serpents disported themselves there with joy and said to the mighty Suparna, best of birds: 'Carry us to another island — beautiful, with abundant waters; for you, flying, O ranger of the sky, see many delightful lands.''
