Here the fruits of prosperity appear in the everyday life of the people -- festivity and generosity. The words heard in every house are telling: 'let them give, let them eat' (diyatam bhujyatam). In them lies the heart of the Vedic culture of abundance: wealth is not hoarded in stinginess but shared and enjoyed together; hospitality and giving are the natural air of the golden age. It is telling that this generosity arises not by compulsion but as a joyful custom, spread 'everywhere.' Thus scripture shows that true prosperity is known not by accumulation but by the ease with which people share; a society in which every house rings with the call to give and to feast is a society living by dharma.
