Traducción

"So Bhishma, son of Shantanu, and the wise Vidura, and all the Kauravas everywhere wept, deeply grieving. Then Bhishma, Vidura, and the king, with their kinsmen, and all the wives of Kuru performed the water-offering for him. Taking those Pandavas, who had already performed the water-offering, worn out with grief, all the subjects, O king, grieving, surrounded them. And as the Pandavas slept on the ground together with their kinsmen, so too the townsfolk lay down — brahmins and others. That city, together with the Pandavas, became joyless, unwell, cheerless down to the last child, for twelve nights."
