प्रययुर् द्रौपदीं द्रष्टुं तं च देवमहोत्सवम् ॥
ते प्रयाता नरव्याघ्रा मात्रा सह परंतपाः ॥
ब्राह्मणान् ददृशुर् मार्गे गच्छतः सगणान् बहून् ॥
तान् ऊचुर् ब्राह्मणा राजन् पाण्डवान् ब्रह्मचारिणः ॥
क्व भवन्तो गमिष्यन्ति कुतो वागच्छतेति ह ॥

Vaishampayana said: "Then those tigers among men, the five Pandava brothers, set out with their mother to see Draupadi and that great divine festival. As they went, those tigers among men, scorchers of foes, saw on the road brahmins going in many groups; and those brahmins said to the Pandavas, who walked as celibate students: 'Where will you go? Or where do you come from?'"
