The lengthy admiration of the palaces — white as Kailasa and Himavat, golden, fragrant — shows how lavishly earthly splendor is laid at the foot of the sacrifice. It is notable, however, that all this magnificence is not an end in itself: it frames the sacred, serving the honor of the guests and the grandeur of the rite. The verse does not condemn wealth but assigns it its place — in service. Beauty dedicated to the Lord and His work is not a fault but an offering; what outside the sacrifice would be vain luxury here becomes part of the splendor of the holy rite. Magnificence turned toward the Highest is sanctified by Him.
