यच् चासहायतां राजन्न् उक्तवान् असि भारत ॥
तन् मिथ्या भ्रातरो हीमे सहायास् ते महारथाः ॥
द्रोणस् तव महेष्वासः सह पुत्रेण धीमता ॥
सूतपुत्रश् च राधेयो गौतमश् च महारथः ॥
अहं च सह सोदर्यैः सौमदत्तिश् च वीर्यवान् ॥
एतैस् त्वं सहितः सर्वैर् जय कृत्स्नां वसुंधराम् ॥

yac cāsahāyatāṃ rājann uktavān asi bhārata ||
tan mithyā bhrātaro hīme sahāyās te mahārathāḥ ||
droṇas tava maheṣvāsaḥ saha putreṇa dhīmatā ||

"As for what you said about lacking allies, O king, O Bharata -- that is false: for your brothers are allies, great chariot-warriors; Drona, the great archer, together with his wise son, and the suta's son Radheya [Karna], and Gautama [Kripa], the great chariot-warrior; and I with my own brothers, and the valiant son of Somadatta. Together with all of them, conquer the whole earth."
