ये परार्धे हिमवतः सूर्योदयगिरौ नृपाः ॥
वारिषेणसमुद्रान्ते लोहित्यम् अभितश् च ये ॥
फलमूलाशना ये च किराताश् चर्मवाससः ॥
चन्दनागुरुकाष्ठानां भारान् कालीयकस्य च ॥
चर्मरत्नसुवर्णानां गन्धानां चैव राशयः ॥
कैरातिकानाम् अयुतं दासीनां च विशां पते ॥
आहृत्य रमणीयार्थान् दूरजान् मृगपक्षिणः ॥
निचितं पर्वतेभ्यश् च हिरण्यं भूरिवर्चसम् ॥
बलिं च कृत्स्नम् आदाय द्वारि तिष्ठन्ति वारिताः ॥

āhṛtya ramaṇīyārthān dūrajān mṛgapakṣiṇaḥ ||
nicitaṃ parvatebhyaś ca hiraṇyaṃ bhūrivarcasam ||
baliṃ ca kṛtsnam ādāya dvāri tiṣṭhanti vāritāḥ ||
Kings from the far slope of Himavat, from the Mountain of Sunrise, from the edge of the Vāriṣeṇa sea and along the Lohityā — brought loads of sandalwood, aloe and kālīyaka wood, heaps of hides, jewels, gold and fragrances; ten thousand Kairātika maidservants, O lord of the people, having brought lovely beasts and birds born far away, and gold of brilliant lustre heaped up from the mountains, and the entire tribute, stand at the gate, until admitted.

From the 'Mountain of Sunrise' to the shores of the sea, the whole East sends its gifts. The repetition 'stand at the gate' is telling: even those bearing untold wealth wait humbly for their turn. The verse teaches that before a righteous center even the greatest offerings grant no right to haste: order stands above wealth. Abundance here does not break the order but fits within it. Duryodhana, listing lands and cargoes, misses the lesson — that it is not the heaps which adorn the assembly, but the order in which both the distant and the wealthy wait at the gate. Where wealth bows before order, dharma reigns; where order is trampled for the sake of wealth, ruin ripens.
