किं जितं किं जितम् इति ह्य् आकारं नाभ्यरक्षत ॥
जहर्ष कर्णो ऽतिभृशं सह दुःशासनादिभिः ॥
इतरेषां तु सभ्यानां नेत्रेभ्यः प्रापतज् जलम् ॥
सौबलस् त्व् अविचार्यैव जितकाशी मदोत्कटः ॥
जितम् इत्य् एव तान् अक्षान् पुनर् एवान्वपद्यत ॥

kiṃ jitaṃ kiṃ jitam iti hy ākāraṃ nābhyarakṣata ||
jaharṣa karṇo 'tibhṛśaṃ saha duḥśāsanādibhiḥ ||
itareṣāṃ tu sabhyānāṃ netrebhyaḥ prāpataj jalam ||
saubalas tv avicāryaiva jitakāśī madotkaṭaḥ ||

Traducción

And Dhritarashtra, exultant, asked again and again: "Is it won? Is it won?" — and did not hide his joy. Karna rejoiced exceedingly, together with Duhshasana and the rest; but from the eyes of other members of the assembly tears streamed forth. And Saubala [Shakuni], without any hesitation at all, triumphant, flushed with the intoxication of victory, took up those dice once more: "Won!"
