एवं विनिश्चयं कृत्वा इन्द्राणी कार्यसिद्धये ॥
अभ्यगच्छत सव्रीडा नहुषं घोरदर्शनम् ॥
दृष्ट्वा तां नहुषश् चापि वयोरूपसमन्विताम् ॥
समहृष्यत दुष्टात्मा कामोपहतचेतनः ॥

evaṃ viniścayaṃ kṛtvā indrāṇī kāryasiddhaye ||
abhyagacchata savrīḍā nahuṣaṃ ghoradarśanam ||
dṛṣṭvā tāṃ nahuṣaś cāpi vayorūpasamanvitām ||
samahṛṣyata duṣṭātmā kāmopahatacetanaḥ ||

Traducción

Having thus made her resolve, so as to accomplish her purpose, the queen of Indra went bashfully to Nahusha of terrible aspect. And Nahusha, the wicked one, his mind overpowered by lust, seeing her youthful and beautiful, was filled with great delight.
