धृतराष्ट्र उवाच
सर्व एते महोत्साहा ये त्वया परिकीर्तिताः ॥
एकतस् त्व् एव ते सर्वे समेता भीम एकतः ॥
भीमसेनाद् धि मे भूयो भयं संजायते महत् ॥
क्रुद्धाद् अमर्षणात् तात व्याघ्राद् इव महारुरोः ॥
जागर्मि रात्रयः सर्वा दीर्घम् उष्णं च निःश्वसन् ॥
भीतो वृकोदरात् तात सिंहात् पशुर् इवाबलः ॥
न हि तस्य महाबाहोः शक्रप्रतिमतेजसः ॥
सैन्ये ऽस्मिन् प्रतिपश्यामि य एनं विषहेद् युधि ॥
अमर्षणश् च कौन्तेयो दृढवैरश् च पाण्डवः ॥
अनर्महासी सोन्मादस् तिर्यक्प्रेक्षी महास्वनः ॥
dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca
sarva ete mahotsāhā ye tvayā parikīrtitāḥ ||
ekatas tv eva te sarve sametā bhīma ekataḥ ||
bhīmasenād dhi me bhūyo bhayaṃ saṃjāyate mahat ||
kruddhād amarṣaṇāt tāta vyāghrād iva mahāruroḥ ||
jāgarmi rātrayaḥ sarvā dīrgham uṣṇaṃ ca niḥśvasan ||
bhīto vṛkodarāt tāta siṃhāt paśur ivābalaḥ ||
na hi tasya mahābāhoḥ śakrapratimatejasaḥ ||
sainye 'smin pratipaśyāmi ya enaṃ viṣahed yudhi ||
amarṣaṇaś ca kaunteyo dṛḍhavairaś ca pāṇḍavaḥ ||
anarmahāsī sonmādas tiryakprekṣī mahāsvanaḥ ||
Dhritarashtra said: 'What did that king of the Pandavas, the son of Dharma, say, O Sanjaya, after hearing that a great host had gathered here to gladden us? And how does Yudhishthira act, foreseeing the approaching struggle, O Suta -- he whom his brothers and sons look to, awaiting his commands? Angered by the deceptions of my wicked sons, who again dissuade that king, versed in virtue, from virtuous conduct, saying: "Peace!"' Sanjaya said: 'All the Panchalas, together with the other sons of Pandu, look to the face of Yudhishthira, blessed as you are, and he too holds them all together.'
