Traducción

This groundless hatred of the sons of Pritha does not become you. All the sons of Pandu are devoted to virtue. Indeed, who could do them the slightest harm? Whoever hates them hates me; whoever loves them loves me. Know that the virtuous Pandavas and I share but a single soul. He who, driven by impulses of lust and anger and from the darkness of his soul, hates and seeks to harm one endowed with every good quality, is reckoned the vilest of men. This wrathful wretch, devoid of all good qualities, is deemed the most despicable of men. This wrathful wretch of unbridled soul, who through ignorance and greed hates his kinsmen endowed with every auspicious quality, shall never long enjoy his prosperity. On the contrary, he who by kind services draws to himself people endowed with good qualities — even though he bears aversion toward them in his heart — enjoys prosperity and glory forever. Therefore all this food, defiled by malice, does not deserve to be eaten by me. I think it is the food brought by Vidura alone that I should eat.' Having said this to Duryodhana, who was never able to bear anything against his will, the mighty-armed Keshava then went forth from that blazing palace of Dhritarashtra's son. And the high-souled, mighty-armed Vasudeva, having left that mansion, turned his steps toward the abode of the illustrious Vidura.
