Traducción

Narada said: "Then the king, wishing to hold a svayamvara for her once more, came to the hermitage at the confluence of the Ganga and Yamuna. Having seated Madhavi, who held a flower garland, upon a chariot, Puru and Yadu escorted their sister to the ashram. There gathered nagas, yakshas, men, winged creatures, beasts, birds, mountains, trees, forests, and water-dwelling beings. The forest was filled with lords of many peoples and lands, and on every side surrounded by rishis equal to Brahma. But when the suitors were pointed out to her, the beautiful maiden passed by all these chosen men and took the forest itself as her bridegroom."
