Traducción

Then all the ascetics, followers of Bhargava, became spectators, surrounding the field of battle. Then the goddess, my mother, who wishes well to all beings, appeared in her own form and said to me, O king: 'What is this you intend? I shall go to Jamadagnya and again and again beseech him: "Do not fight with Bhishma, your disciple." Do not show such obstinacy, my son; do not fight in battle with the brahmin, with Jamadagnya' — thus she admonished me, O king. 'Do you not know Rama, destroyer of kshatriyas, equal to Hara in valor, since you wish to fight him, my son?'
