Traducción

Beyond the bounds of Samantapanchaka, Yudhishthira, son of Kunti, had thousands of camps set up according to rule. The whole land seemed empty, with only children and the elderly remaining in it; it was deprived of horses, men, chariots, and elephants. O best of kings, as far as the sun illumines the circle of Jambudvipa, so vast was the army that had assembled. People of all classes, gathered in one place, occupied an expanse of many yojanas — lands, rivers, mountains, and forests. For all of them, together with their mounts, King Yudhishthira ordained excellent provisions. He established various signs of recognition, so that by the words "This one belongs to the Pandavas," one's own could be told apart. When the hour of battle arrived, the descendant of Kuru assigned to everyone identifying marks, signs, and distinctive ornaments.
