तम् भिद्रुत्य शैनेयो मुहूर्तम् भा
घा हाबाहुर् भीसेचः स्मरन्
भीसेने हि धः सुतानां भा
प्रतिज्ञातः भाध्ये र्वेषाम् संयुगे
था दुःशानं जित्वा सात्यकिः संयुगे प्रभो
गा त्वरितो राजन् ये यातो नंयः

na jaghāna mahur bhīmasenavacaḥ smaran ||
bhīmasenena hi vadhaḥ sunāṃ tava bhārata ||

tathā duḥśāsanaṃ jitvā tyakiḥ saṃyuge prabho ||
jama tvarito jan yena to dhanaṃjayaḥ ||

Traducción

Rushing at him, Shaineya, the mighty-armed, did not slay him for a moment, O descendant of Bharata, remembering Bhimasena's word. For Bhimasena had vowed in the midst of the assembly the slaying of all your sons in battle. Thus, having vanquished Duhshasana in battle, Satyaki, O lord, moved on swiftly, O king, to where Dhananjaya had gone.
