तं र्णश् छायाम् व्रातैर् नेशः
संछाद्यमानः र्णे हुधा पाण्डुन्दनः
चिच्छे चापं र्णस्य मुष्टिदेशे हाथः
विव्या चैनं हुभिः साकैर् र्वभिः
थान्यद् नुर् दा ज्यं कृत्वा सूजः
विव्या रे भीमं भीर्मा हाथः
स्य भीमो भृशं क्रुद्धस् त्रीञ् रान् र्वणः
निखानोसि दा सूपुत्रस्य वेगितः

taṃ karṇaś chādam āsa śaravrātair anekaśaḥ ||
saṃchādyanaḥ karṇena bahudhā ṇḍunandanaḥ ||
ciccheda paṃ karṇasya muṣṭideśe marathaḥ ||
vivyādha cainaṃ bahubhiḥ yakair nataparvabhiḥ ||
athānyad dhanur āya sajyaṃ kṛtvā ca tajaḥ ||
vivyādha samare bhīmaṃ bhīmakarmā marathaḥ ||
tasya bhīmo bhṛśaṃ kruddhas trīñ śan nataparvaṇaḥ ||
nicakhānorasi ta taputrasya vegitaḥ ||

Traducción

Karna enveloped him with many swarms of arrows; being enveloped by Karna again and again, the delight of Pandu severed Karna's bow at the very grip, the great warrior, and struck him with many smooth-jointed arrows. Then, taking another bow and stringing it, the son of the suta, himself of terrible deeds, the great warrior, struck Bhima in battle.
