"Jarasandha, the king of Chedi [Shishupala], and the mighty son of Nishada [Ekalavya] — had they not been slain before, they would now be terrifying. Suyodhana would certainly have chosen them, the best of warriors; they, ever hostile to us, would have joined the Kauravas. For they were heroes, great in spirit, skilled in weapons, steadfast fighters; they would have guarded the whole army of Dhartarashtra as if immortal. The son of a suta [Karna], Jarasandha, the king of Chedi, born of Nishada, having resorted to Suyodhana, would have scorched this earth."
